The Illustrations Built In Expressing The Love For The City

Mumbai is that spoilt brat kid who everyone loves and knows has the most potential than all, and somehow however notorious it could become, you can’t help but love it. The love expression for the city has been uprooting since decades. Sonnets have been written expressing the affection for the city, but now the city has some signs of mega size expressing the same love with three easy words, making the spots yet another tourist spots.

A bit about the illustration is that it was first showcased in the Kala Ghoda Festival 2016 in Mumbai and Humans of Bombay had started an online petition to make the installation a part of the Mumbai landscape. St+art India put in a request to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to give it a permanent place in the city and we’ve got it!

There are six such illutrations through the city,

1. The Promenade at Bandra Reclamation, is the first permanent one after the Kala Ghoda temporary installation, which is a fusion of Hindi and English vocabulary in the easy vibrant colors of Red & White.

2. The second one is in Juhu, quite near to the famous Juhu Beach which has gone extra step by illuminating it in Neo lights.

3. BMC Garden in Vile Parle West

4. Malad Selfie Point, post first three installations the next three were the illustrations expressing the love for the region they are installed in, Malad being one of it.

5. Ghatkopar Selfie Point
