Some of the popular locations being Khar, Thane, The Socials and more…All these events are so far have been on a pretty minimal scale and motivate all the budding writers, poets, story tellers and kind.
Kommune is a community that binds poetry, storytelling and everything in between together, has announced their spoken word festival, Spoken. Mumbai has been having numerous smaller events of similar kind, but this one here is a grand festival for all the writing and spoken creative heads. The festival is being organized for two days in the month of October where you can expect poets, artists, and more interesting people up on stage from around the world sharing their stories. This is a first of it’s kind of festival in the city. If you enjoy listening to inspiring or simple yet stories or story-telling same you gonna love it.
Shamir Reuben, head of content curation at Kommune tells us the idea is simple for people to come, discover things from little corners of their own city or around the globe. As the list is still in the building, and they are bringing in people from around the globes.
The festival will be seeing artist from across various fields as well, so far the announced actor Kalki Koechlin, comedian Kautuk Srivastava, actor & filmmaker (and an all-rounder) Piyush Mishra, TV Anchor Gaurav Kapoor & many more inspiring artists who will enthrall the audience with their nuanced spoken word.
To get inspired, and engage with the burgeoning spoken word community from around the globe. The festival will have art, music, poetry, food and everything else that you may expect out of a well-curated festival. In fact, if you’d like to get up on the stage and perform, registrations are open now. One can also expect home chefs who will conjure up delicious dishes, wine, beer and art installations at the festival arena.
