Since the times, Ladakh became one of the must visit trip rather than Manali or Kashmir; the Tibetan cuisine has been also traveled outside the consignments of it’s Northern region. Momos were popular around the north and east of India since always. But the Tibetan delight was not much known to the other parts of the country and also were hardly available in any kind of eateries.
But, now that the Tibetan culture and their cuisine has been nationalized, Mumbai city has caught up with the delicacies with all the love. The city has quite a lot of sought after Momos Joint which are relished by their fans. Out of the lot, this one in Bandra’s food heaven, Carters Road right opposite to Cafe Coffee Day and beside Carter’s Blue is small stall with the name “Kepchaki Momos”.
Their Momos have a light covering on the outside and generous fillings on the inside. /the variety exists in both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian choices, like Mixed veggies, paneer, Mushroom and cheese & Chicken, prawns, pork and more.
And do you not just stop at Momos, they also have a wide variety of Chinese from Wontons to appetizers and mains as well as hearty Tibetan Thukpa. Since it’s a stall, there is no seating space so either opt for a take out or stand by in the vast spread region. it’s easy on the pocket with prices that start at INR 90 for a plate of Momos and INR 180 for a vegetarian starter.
And while at it always ask for extra Chutney!!!
