There are days when you treating people and then there are days when you have to skip on meals until you get your next pocket money. But, there are places around your college that will help you sustain your pocket money throughout the month saving you from your drought periods. 1. Cafe Andora:-

Housed in small cottage opposite St. Andrews College, this eatery is a good spot for a meal that won’t eat your pocket money. The interiors are simple yet assure you a homely feel making you stay longer. Things to hog on to include Chicken Rolls (INR 60) Briyani (INR 100) and Chinese Mini meals (INR100). The eatery is meant to stay open till 9 PM but with the crowd they go out of stock mostly by 6 PM.

2. Hearsch Bakery:-

The little bakery working in a tucked under stall on the busy street of Hill Road is pretty renowned around amongst people here. Everyone who is a regular around the area can vouch on their mouth watering burgers (INR 40), Sandwiches (INR 30), Croissants and their refreshing lemonade which is prefect remedy for the scorching heat and all this at prices that won’t ig a hole in your pocket.

3. The J:-

The J has very quickly grabbed the attention of many by their catchy menu and their factor of service. The stand by eatery serves everyone’s favorite fries in different variety, that variety comes in the different kinds of toppings they have along with shakes. To name a few there are Pizza fries, Cheese, Salsa, Chipotle and even Popcorn Chicken and pair them with their Oreo shake(INR 100), Parle-G (INR 100) or Red Velvet milkshake (INR 130).

This tiny stall off-Linking Road, besides National College is always swarming with students who make their way here between lecture breaks to fill their hungry-with-boredom stomachs with his famous Masala Toast Sandwich (INR 50) and Big Grilled Sandwich (INR 130) which is big enough to feed four mouths at a time. If you’re not up these usual treats you can always indulge in any of the other 16 options from their menu like their Jam and Cheese toast (INR 40), Cheese Chilly Toast (INR 80) and Cheese sandwich (INR 80). P.S. they don’t have seating so you’re going to have to stand and relish their sandwiches.

5. A 1 Bakery:-

This quaint little 60-year-old bakery on Hill Road, is easy to miss as it sits in the shadows of American Express Bakery that’s been in the news owing to an infamous accident involving a Bollywood biggie. A1 Bakery is an unpretentious little place that beckons passers-by with aromas of their freshly made Mutton Patty (INR 18), Chicken Makhani Roll (INR 60), Croquettes (INR 16) and Chicken Lollypops (INR 25). Don’t miss this little gem!

6. Candies:-

Candies is a Bandra institution. But while everyone loves Candies and many can boast of being regulars here, be sure of one thing – Candies has no favorites, so don’t expect any preferential treatment. Self-service is the order of the day here – jostle to place your order while a friend helps you grab a table. Take our word for it, this game plan is golden. All of this will seem worthwhile when you settle down to tuck into your order of rolls, sandwiches and even the cute Angry Bird Cupcakes!
